June 2 2019 - Dear Sirs, I found a listing of resources in Oakland, CA I am here in TX prison, I arrived back in 1988 here below is the way I began doing time? This story is real and still in a active progress... I was 28 yrs old in 1988 no one knows how we end up in prison, it was a real eye opening experience for me... I was convicted of capital murder 30 yrs ago, I was sentenced to die by lethal injection for a double murder it was a burglary of a residence home... After a somewhat lengthy trial which lasted 9 months, I was found guilty, then sentenced, but within the time I was transferred to TX death row at the Ellis one unit in Huntsville, I was called back due to a hearing as it took another 4 months, I eventually went back again after numerous appeals which again took years... Unexpectedly a escape at the Ellis One, not of mine, resulted us at the time 460 condemned men was transferred to another unit which was in Polk County, Livingston Texas the unit was later re-named from Charles T. Terrell Unit... to Allen B. Polunsky Unit... For all the 2 + half decades never once did death come knocking on my cage door... As it was there was a lot that took place which I’ll fill in as I one day decide to write all events + it will be revealed... I also wish to do a testimonial also... in the years to now I was given a reversal the lower courts seen I had potential reversible errors which resulted in what is called “penalty phase trial” in Capt. Murder a trial is 2 parts guilt + innocent... then punishment... which I was granted you can either get life or death I was given death? So, I was sent back to the County Jail were 2½ yrs later the lawyer + firm was granted to do a plea deal... I was meet by the State Prosecutor who wished to do a deal which meant I had to give up a lot to “seal the deal” so to speak! In 2015 I signed for 2 consecutive life’s... I am in general population in which is a blessing I’ve been on 2 other units and have had a great deal of change in adapting to living life in a cage (cell) for 22 hrs a day to being allowed to move around and “no cuffing”... is awesome... I get to socialize + talk + laugh with others... from my previous life to now is a dream... there is more to this and I’m trying to set it up were I can get a typewriter I can then put all my life in it... More as I get into writing of my life + experiences while I was on d/r and even now... I could write volumes maybe more than one book too... thank you... please please do publish these pages if I can add a photo... let me know do I need to add to a letter a SASE?
