Are You Properly Trained? 12-23-19
At FM WCC NDOC Las Vegas, NV on 11-21-19 at approximately 6:35AM I was walking down the stairs in Unit E after just using the restroom, as c/o Logan entered Unit E, stood at the door and yelled my name "Chambers", and said to get properly dressed and grab my cup. I was escorted to the gym to give a U/A "urine analysis" and drank a 8oz cup of water. C/O Palasios was the officer to witness me giving a urine sample and after I had urinated into the sample cup and went to hand it to C/O Palasios, she looked at it and said that's not enough. I then said so what do you want me to do with it, she then told me to throw it away in the bio bin at which point I followed her directions.
C/O Palasios then said that I needed to sign a white paper that said I did not give a urine sample. I immediately objected, stating that I did give a sample and you said it was not enough urine and told me to throw it away. At that point C/O Logan said "That's fine if you do not want to sign the paper." I then asked C/O Logan if I had to sign the paper and she said "If you don't, you will only be making it harder on yourself." I was feeling very intimidated by C/O Logan, I signed the paper under complete duress. I was then told to roll up my property in my cell because I was going to the hole Unit 4.
I was given one hour to give a U/A. I had to go to school that morning so I had not drank anything that morning except for less than a half cup of coffee. I had already peed that out before they called me for a U/A. I don't drink a lot of liqueds before school because 1st period only gets 5 minutes to use the bathroom, 2nd period only gets 10 minutes to use the bathroom and 3rd period only gets 5 minutes and if you are not 1st to sign up for the bathroom not everybody gets to go.
So because I was only able to produce a quarter amount the size of a 25 cent coin and the officer was under the impression that the urine has to be enough to take temperature, I was sent to unit 4 the hole, and I now sit in unit 7 segregation still awaiting my hearing because I pled not guilty.
My point is per OP 491.02 collection of samples OP 491.02 (5) states: All samples collected, regardless of the amount, will be sent to the lab for testing.
But because the officer was not trained properly, my urine sample got throwen away. Which leads me to OP 491.02 (1) which states: All testing will be done in the presence of designated personnel who have been appropriately trained in the collection and handling of urinalysis testing.
This officer was clearly not trained to handle anyones urine sample.
Please do not send this essay back to me.
