1-11-2019 Before I think to write anything on this paper I pray that whomever's attention I'm getting by taking such chance to get your attention is doing alright! Whereas, my name is as previously stated above Charles Anthony Paschal Jr., and I'm currently serving my 17th year straight in the Georgia Department of Corrections off a 30 years total prison sentence! My reason and purpose for taking a chance to get whomever's attention I'm getting is to share an essay about why I think departments of corrections work and don't work! First, I think departments of corrections are very important for some individuals but in order for those individuals that's sentenced to serve sentences in departments of corrections I think before an individual can correct anything regardless of their sentence or sentences we must know as well as take the initiative to correct whatever we individually need to correct in our personal life! Yet instead, because some individuals don't know what needs to be corrected in their personal life even though departments of corrections can assist them they never take advantage or put forth the effort to correct themselves! So therefore, I think departments of corrections work and have worked only for those individuals that's currently serving or have served a sentence of time in any place of incarceration only if the individual takes advantage of time in any place of incarceration to educate themselves beyond the predicted thinking pattern or thinking patterns of individuals that's currently serving or have served a sentence of time in any place of incarceration! Next, I think departments of corrections don't work or haven't worked for some individuals because that individual may think they have nothing in their personal life that needs to be corrected! So due to some individuals thinking they have nothing in their life that needs to be corrected all their life they're in and out of places of incarcerations, some individuals die or some individuals get killed for various reasons while serving a sentence in places of incarceration! In which, at the end of the day and night or night and day who should we hold responsible for individuals' personal corrections to their life others may think don't work?? Finally, being I don't have time to write much more I end this essay about why I think corrections work and don't work with I think departments of corrections work for those individuals its working for and have worked for, and I think departments of corrections work for those individuals others may think departments of corrections doesn't work for! And I think all this working of individuals' corrections depends on individuals' support system!!
