COPS, Pa. Style By Wesley Carroll Within the courthouse, during a criminal felony trial, the proceedings went as follows. As I was cross examining a police office, it went as follows... I said, "Officer, did you see my client, the accused defendant handcuffed and sitting at my table in the court, in this criminal case, flee the scene of the crime?" The officer said, "No sir, but I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender several blocks away." I then asked him, "Officer, who provided the descriptions?" "A fellow officer provided the description of the so called defendant." I then asked him, "Do you trust your fellow officers?" The police officer replied, "Yes sir, with my life." I then said, "With your life, huh? Let me ask you a question. Do you have a locker room in the police station? A room where you can change in preparation for your daily duties?" The policeman said, "Yes we do." I said, "Do you have a locker in that room?" The policeman replied yes. So I said, "and do you have a lock on your locker?" The policeman now much slower again said...yes. So I just had to ask, "Why is it that since you trust you fellow officers so much, like you said, with your life, that you find it necessary to lock your locker, in a room that you share with those very same police officers?" The policeman answered, "Well sir, its like this, they may lie, they may kill a few niggers, they may steal, they may even rape a few bitches, they may cause the false imprisonment of many innocent colored people, they may even rob drug dealers, they might even do dope and other drugs, they might even be corrupt and get caught, may even get fired, etc.,...but they all, we all, want our pensions! This is how its' always been. This ain't nothing new, ...This is how its always been, here in Pennsylvania." (Note:... in a perfect or at lease a somewhat law abiding city that is not in Pa. or Pgh., ... known for corruption, silencing the truth, etc.,..).
