Celldweller's Journal: Fractured Mirror of Society, Part 5 Author: Sékou Levert Brookshire Jamaa Askari Date: 8-14-13 (Publish) (Entry Fourteen) "Black [August?]" Essay's When, I was introduced to this "education," it wasn't in society's "school system," It was in this large "prison system." It wasn't those "teachers" at my high school that taught me how the world really works. It was my "teachers" on these prison yards, those who are celldweller's, like myself, and some of them "dwell" inside "cells" of other prisons scatter all over this country. But all have been fortunate enough to get their thought's and ideas out, far enough to land inside my hands, so that, I can meet them through their writings, their printed words. As, society has turned against us; turning their back on us it didn't have the effect, that they intended for us. Politically-educated, self-educated, celldweller's of all ethnic racial-backgrounds, from the 60's, and 70's generations, have now screened, vetted and handpicked a chosen few of us, 80's and 90's generation's "gang member's." Taking us under their wing's, and making us, a part of the "family." Teaching us, the causes and the effects of our actions. Showing us, a list of behavior's, then explaining each and every one of them to us, helping us to identify our own behaviors. These are celldwellers, of great intelligence and mental power, who used their "savvy," creativity to transform these oppressive houses of steal and concrete, into their university's. Where they have transformed themselves, from "low-level," "scavenger's," and "criminals" into, "advanced," tactical, calculated, energetic "chess-player's," of society. Who have mastered their crafts. While, never leaving the confines of their cell's. Influencing political decisions, changing laws and provoking public reaction, organizing demonstrations, rally's, and clandestine revolutionary activities. Orchestrating business acquisitions, forming boards, councils and committees, and even using the universal commercial codes (UCC) statutes, for their own [illegible].
