07-02-2017 'Life Inside the Penitentiary' Well first we all got to come and believe that we are all human no one is perfect. So even by officers having a badge or more power than us inmates "that doesn't mean that there better or perfect than us. It's so much that goes on behind these walls" but everyone on the outside looking in always assume it's the inmates. Some of our actions is behind what a officer say or do to us. For I being locked up is not a normal thing. Being in a cell 23 Hours for years will drive anyone insane. We share toilets, take showers with our boots on, have to sit a certain tables, and etc. This is a war zone in there. No one knows if they will live to see another day. No one looks at us in a good way "but most of the talented smartest men in prison are locked up. yes we made mistakes" but also people in the real world also do to. So it is right for us to judge them. Some men in there will never see day light, and the judge that gave them the time will either be dead or retired in 20 years. It's not fair to give 70% of us all this time expecially 1st offenders like me. These prisons are so crowded because most of us on't need to he here. Just like me doing 18 years for giving a friend and his girlfriend a ride which they was getting set up by the Feds so now im in a conspiracy. I mean honestly did I really deserve that No. It's hard to find people to fight for us. But as you read alot of papers it's been alot of officers being fired, prisons being sued, and treating us wrong. But they get treated better than us. Now don't get me wrong it's alot of good officers that come to do their job "and their alright. But the ones that does extra things" always have the problems. We need to find justice some way. It's nights I have to sleep with 1 eye open "you never know who may run in your cell. So if I defend myself and hurt him" I still get punished. The politics in prison is the worse. It's just much I can really say "even when writing you." All I ask is for "justice" and more people to listen to my story and you will see a different out look of us men in prison. Please reach out. Thank-you.
