Problems with K2 and Gangs in ADC Arkansas Dept of Correction Over the past few years the K-2 problem has become a more dangerous problem for the inmates. As I stated in the last letter I have seen men duce out on k-2 I've seen them smoke it and throw up and swim in there own vomit and others as well. The correctional officers just watch and let them go on with it and in some instances even smoked it themselves. They do that to keep from dealing with the problems that falls behind it and its getting worse every day, but yet they would rather give inmates 1 and 2 year denials on parole and that puts them back into the thought of smoking more k-2 or duce as they call it. Now I've seen female guards get with there friends that's in gangs and in the same barracks and pay the guard from $50 to $250.00 for long periods of sex depending on what she wants to do. I have seen officers just plain out having sex with two or three inmates at one time and then there is other times that I saw female officers sucking men off and having three or four of them in a line with all there gang members. Also the fighting and raping other men because they wont give up there commissary or other items of great value like tennis shoes or radio's or MP4 players. I've seen stabbings for other inmates just looking at a person the wrong way. In the late 90's and 2000's it wasn't too bad ADC kept a hold on it but in the past 5 years it has gotten worse and the officers are not doing anything about it. Just in the month of December 2018 I saw a Sgt and a Captain get knocked out by a gang member to get his higher ranking now that is security that's stupidity on ADC's part. I see old men 60 to 85 years old every day getting taken advantage of and robbed, because of gangs wanting more duce money. I guess I'm lucky I've stood my ground and would not give them the time of day because I can fight to even if it is dirty. Now let me say this about ADC they don't follow there own rules. In September 2018 when my cell was shook down because of a gang member trying to get out of a shank charge and when there was no phone found after the investigation I was supposed to be returned back to my job and my hobby craft returned to me, but it wasn't because ADC don't follow there rules they make. Now this Wendy Kelly the ADC Director and her 12 cronies don't know how to control anything they do because all there worried about is how many inmates they can keep in the ADC so they do not lose there federal funding. There is no type of straight security in the department of correction, all there is a bunch of people with blue suits that don't give a damn about anything. Now lets talk about the Building Major Ford his job is security, but all he worries about is how many clothes a person gets or the Taser Gun that he is not supposed to have on in the halls of the Unit. The only time he is supposed to have the Taser is in a riot and there has never been one here in the 15 years that I have been at this unit. I've seen the ADC officers get less interested in there work over the past few years, they even are racist against other inmates they have working for them. They bring them special gift but expect you to work like a slave with no good treatment of any kind. I have a supervisor that has worked for ADC for 25 years and she is black and she treats her kind special, but don't do others the same way. Now that's when she needs her retirement pulled for being racist, because all people are equal even if they are locked up. I can sit in the barracks where I'm at and count 15 people that are gang related in some way and they have there noses up the warden's or major's butts. More less to say they would snitch to other gang member's to get trouble started with the major or warden. These problems are steadily getting worse every day and Wendy Kelly or her cronies don't give a damn about programs or anything else that would help inmates to make better people once they finally do get released. I do know this when Larry Norris was director things were a lot different when it came to inmates or officers it was somewhat better. Now there in a mad rush to paint walls and try to get everything back working because they cannot be grandfathered in on the audit system anymore things has got to get fixed or the whole unit will be shut down so you can imagine what kind of mad house it is around here right now. So I'm saying that things is not going to get any better till we get some people in the Director's office that has some nuts to know how to get things in order the right way. Now we all know thats not going to happen with these gangs and k-2 episodes going on. I hope this puts more light on these subjects in coming days.
