Cody Leo Schreiber 10-23-19 Mule Creek State Prison To the American Prison Writing Archive: There are those who live in this world who believe that there is no God. May the following information forever erase such a belief. In 1985 I had a desire to find my two biological sisters whom I had not seen nor heard from since the Welfare Department took me away from my biological family in August of 1959. I had been learning and studying on the subject of Biblical faith from a Christian author who was the founder of a now-world outreach ministry in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I went to my Heavenly Father in prayer and asked Him to find my two biological sisters, "believing that I receive", in the name of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament Book of the Gospel of Mark, chapter eleven, verse twenty-four which states, "Therefore I [Jesus] say unto you, 'What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them'." And I also sent in a prayer request to a Christian ministry regarding God finding my two biological sisters. The following year in March I was transferred to Tehachapi IV-B Prison. On Tuesday, December 16, 1986, I received two letters in the mail: one from a woman in Texas and the other from my adoptive mother in Montana. I was curious to know who the woman was from Texas. I did not know anybody from Texas! I opened my mother's letter first and began reading. In her letter she wrote, "your youngest sister will be writing to you." When I had finished reading mom's letter, I quickly opened up the envelope from Texas and began reading the letter. There were these pictures included with the letter! It was my youngest sister, "Sis"! Her hair made me think, "like Goldy Locks!" Her long blond hair! She had wedding pictures of herself. I was one happy man that night! Later, at some point in time, a Bible came to my mind. The verse says, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew (show) thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." -Jeremiah 33:3. Wow! Did He ever! Talk about a prayer answered in an awesome and wonderful way by the Almighty God Who works wondrously!!! To Him be all the glory and praise! In time, I would discover how God worked it out and had orchestrated this event in the answer to my prayer and others whose prayers which went heavenward to God Almighty on His Throne. Little did I know, or more precisely, "I did not know" whatsoever, is-that the way that I understand it is-that when I prayed that prayer in the Folsom Prison, my biological mother was about 25 miles away - Briggs Drive, south Sacramento, California! She did not know that I was in Old Folsom Prison nor did I know anything about her exact whereabouts since my separation from her in Billings, Montana in August of 1959! I would not have recognized her had I met her on the streets! My biological mother contacted my younger sister, "Sis", in Texas and asked her, "When are you going to find your brother?" I believe that I am not in error by making the statement, "God put the thought in my biological mother's mind." Sis wrote a letter to the Welfare Department in Helena, Montana. She waited for three weeks. Meanwhile, I wrote to my adoptive mother in Montana, stating that I wanted to find my two (biological) sisters. She, in turn, responded and wrote stating that when I got older, if I had a desire to find my natural family that "we (her husband and she) would help." A lady at the Welfare Department in Helena, Montana contacted my adoptive mother in Montana by telephone, letting her know that my sister was trying to find me. My adoptive cooperated (adoptive mother cooperated) with the Welfare lady who, then, contacted my younger sister, "Sis", by telephone and gave her information which allowed her to contact my adoptive mother in Montana. Sis had about an hour and a half phone call with my adoptive mother, and after they both hung up, my adoptive father said, "Well I guess we have two daughters" (referring to my two sisters). Through "Sis" I was able to contact my older sister who, then, was in Anchorage, Alaska and my biological father (deceased) who, then, was in West Germany. Jesus Christ said these words, "..If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."-Mark 9:23 (Or, Mark, chapter 9, verse 23). For those who may follow my questions that I had asked God several years ago, "Is Jesus Christ for real? I have to know." And, "Is the Bible the Word of God?" Like myself, that theirs would be shown by the Almighty God, Who is ever so Faithful and True to His Holy Written Word, that Jesus "is" for real and that the Holy Bible is the Word of God-for real! Jesus Christ Himself did say, "..I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but my me." (John 14:6) "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of (from) me, for I am meek (gentle) and lowly (humble) in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). "All that the father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise (GK "Not at all") cast out (reject)" (John 6:37). "For I (Apostle Paul) delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures [See Isaiah 53: 5-12]; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" (The New Testament letter of 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4). "But God commendeth (demonstrate) His love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (The New Testament letter of Romans 5:8) "For God so (GK "in this way") loved the world (all of us mankind) that he gave his only begotten ("unique") son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever (anybody, everybody included-all of mankind) believeth in him (trusts in, clings to, relies on him) should not perish (be lost), but have everlasting life" (John-3:16) "But as many as received him, to them gave he power (or, right, or privilege) to become the sons of God (literally children of God), even to them that believe on his [Jesus'] name which were born (procreated), not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (The Gospel of John 1:12,13). In other words, when a person receives Jesus, the spirit of man is procreated of God, not of man. It is the rebirth of the human spirit (i.e. a supernatural rebirth of the human spirit performed/done by God's power). Jesus Himself spoke of this rebirth of the human spirit to Nicodemus, the teacher of Israel, who came to see Jesus at night. Jesus said to Nicodus (Nicodemus), "..Verily (truly), I say unto you, Except a man I've born again) receive birth from above, or, I've procreated from above), he cannot see the kingdom of God. ... That which is born of the flesh (that receiving birth, [or, procreated of] from the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit [of God] is spirit or human spirit)." (The Gospel of John 3:3,6). Man is a spirit and God is a Spirit (see the New Testament book of the Gospel of John 4:24 and the letter to the Thessalonians 5:23). When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden [delight], their spirits experienced death (i.e. separation from God) and all we who came from Adam and Eve inherited a fallen, sinful nature in the human spirit. As one Christian minister wrote, "..we are sinners not because we sin, but because of Adam's sin." The Holy Bible says in the New Testament book of Romans 5:12 "Wherefore (Therefore) as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death (spiritual death-separation of man's spirit from God who is a Spirit) by sin, and so (GK. "in this way") death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" God gave Adam and Eve complete dominion (or control) over the entire earth in the beginning. They were given free wills- the ability to make choices at will. There was only one limitation on the entire earth: "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof (of it-the fruit of the tree) thou shalt surely die (i.e. separated from me- God Almighty)" (The first book of the Old Testament, Genesis chapter 2, verse 17). That is how (spiritual) death come into this world after Adam and Eve failed the test - Adam, more so than Eve. Eve was deceived by the serpent, while Adam willingly sinned against God. He knew better. He didn't try to stop the temptation. A Christian lady spoke of Adam's fall in the Garden of Eden and shared on T.V. what God had shown her what took place after the fall. An evil spirit asked God, "What are going to do now? What are you going to do now?" God did not speak to the evil spirit. God remained silent. Later, many earth years would pass before His answer would be revealed to mankind. But how could mankind redeem themselves?? During the first century A.D. the apostle John, who was exiled on the Island at Patmos for his testimony about Jesus Christ, was given revelation of future events by Jesus Christ. In the last New Testament book of Revelation, chapter 13, verse 8, two events are spoken of: one future and one past. John the apostle writes: "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him [the Antichrist, the beast of Revelation], whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world." "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation (your worthless way of life) received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot [i.e.e sinless] who verily (indeed) was foreordained (foreknown) "before" the foundation of the world, but was manifest (revealed) in these last times for you" (the New Testament letter of the apostle Paul to the Titus-Titus 1:2). "And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life (eternal life) is in his son (Jesus). He that hath the son (Jesus) hath life (eternal life); and he that hath not the son of God (Jesus) hath not life (eternal life)." (The New Testament letter of the apostle of John - 1 John 5:11-12). As one Christian minister wrote: "To "redeem" means to buy back what the devil stole by paying a blood ransom." The New Testament of the Holy Bible, the Word of God, clearly identifies Jesus Christ, the Son of God as the slain Lamb for the sin of all mankind." (See the New Testament book of the Gospel of John 1:29-36; the letter of the apostle of Paul to the Corinthians - 1 Corinthians 5:7; the Book of the Acts of the Apostles 8:32-22 (gusting from the Old Testament book of the Prophet Isaiah 53:7,8); the letter of the apostle Peter - 1 Peter 1:18-20; and the Book of the Revelation 5:6-10). It was already predetermined and done in Heaven that Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, was already the slain lamb before Adam and Eve were created, when none of their descendants were yet born on the Earth! So it was God who provided Jesus Christ, His son, as sacrificial slain lamb who would die and pay for all of the sins, sickness, diseases, pains that sin produced and brought into this world, and ultimately fulfilled God's plan of redemption "for all of mankind" when Jesus spoke these words of triumphant and victory on the behalf of all of mankind (past, present, and future), bringing total defeat against all the forces of evil and darkness: "It is finished." - John 19:30. Come to the foot of the cross where Jesus Christ paid for our freedom from sin and its power and sway over all of mankind. I did, and that is where and who I found my true freedom! Lastly, there was a woman who came to Jesus before He was to die and she had a flask of very costly fragrant oil (worth a year's wage). She broke the flask of oil and poured it onto Jesus; head. But when Jesus' disciples saw this happen, they became indignant and said "To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor." When Jesus understood it, He said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a noble (praiseworthy and beautiful) thing to me... In pouring this perfume on My body she has done it to prepare me for my burial. Truly I say unto you, wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this , that this woman hath (has) done, be told for a memorial of her" (the New Testament book of the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter twenty-six, verses 7-10, 12-13). There is "only" man who made the bold statement, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up... but he (Jesus) spoke of the temple of his body ." (The New Testament Gospel of John, chapter 2, verses 19,21). The resurrection from the dead has only been done successfully by the son of the living God, who raised Himself up from the dead three days later. Jesus' resurrection from the dead was the clear indication and vindication that all of the sins of mankind from the beginning of time till the end of time had all been fully paid for, and that sacrifice on the behalf of all mankind had been accepted by God the Father, and that all of mankind's justification ("being declared innocent " of all charges of the 'guilty verdict' in the Heavenly court of justice) has been sealed for eternity to those who truly repent and turn from their life of sin, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for their sacrifice for all of their sins, and for their salvation that God the Father had provided for all of mankind. How about 40 days of proof "after" Jesus' Resurrection from the dead?! (Acts 1:3) The introduction into a new life. "Jesus, save me from all of my sins which you paid fully for on my behalf. I, now, repent (turn entirely and completely) from all of my sins. I ask you, Jesus to take full control of my life. I now confess to you, Jesus, Lord of all of my life. I believe that God raised you from the dead for me according to your holy word (Romans 10:9). God Father, give me your holy spirit that I may receive power to become a bold witness for Jesus Christ. I, now, believe that I receive your Holy Spirit according to your written holy word, (Luke 11:13; Mark 11:24). According to your written holy word, I now have and possess eternal life and my name is written. (1 John 5:12 and Luke 10:20) Thank you Father. Amen (so be it). It is done. The tables in Heaven for the Banquet of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb are being prepared and set up. The Heavenly Invitations are being sent out. You are invited to the Feast. All things are prepared. Come, Jesus is waiting for you. It is now your decision. Don't wait until it is too late. Come, now. Revelation 19:9. Cody Leo Schreiber
