Where's the Respect
12-23-19
As I sit in FMWCC NDOC Las Vegas, NV in unit 7 segregation, I realize that nobody respects the c/o "correctional officers" because the c/o's have no respect for themselves. They sleep on the job, curse at inmates and hang out with inmates like their homies. I mean my god and to think that were supposed to look up to them like a role model. I don't know about anybody else, but I most deffinitaley cannot look up to these c/o's. These c/o's go as far as intimidating, humiliating and breaking confidentiality with inmates. You can't even go to them for help, if you needed it because they will laugh about the situation, then later talk about it with the other officers and never solve the problem. FMWCC NDOC is supposed to be a correctional center that is supposed to help people rehabilitate back in to the world not set them back and set them up for failure.
The only time any authority is used in this correctional center is when the c/o's are grieved or told that they are not doing their job. Then they want to take action imeditley and do their job like they should have been doing from the begining. Unit 7 is suppose to be a behavioral management unit, but instead it is a big circus with a whole bunce of clowns running around including the c/o's.
Nobody locks down when Tier time is over because their is no line of respect in this unit. C/o's can't controle themselves then alone try to controle a unit.
